Page Type

The type decides the home position of the browser.

Map

The home position is at the center of the browser. Sprites are arranged in all directions from the center. The page is scrollable in all directions from the center. This is the default configuration.

Document

The home position is at the top-left corner of the browser. This resembles a general web page. Sprites are arranged downward and rightward from the corner. The page is scrollable downward and rightward.

03/05/2008  12:08:15    PositLog - Manual : Drag-and-drop files from desktop    (spr2ofoz)
The page frame turns orange when a file is grabbed, and then to green when the browser is ready to receive the file, when you can drop the file.

Image files will be placed at the place you dropped it. Other files are uploaded to the server and a link thereto will be created.

*This functionality is implemented with a Java plug-in (verified with Java5 and Java6). It may take a moment to start when this function is first turned on.

*Browsers other than Safari(on MacOS X) and Internet Explorer may not be able to drag files from a folder window that is in front of the browser window. You can temporarily move those files in a non-overlapping zone first, and then drag them onto the browser.

*This fuctionality does not work with Firefox on MacOS X, and Opera on MacOS X. (In other words, only Safari works properly on MacOS X.)

*Currently, only alphabets and numerals in ASCII character set may be used in the filenames. Expansion is underway.

03/03/2008  03:07:45    PositLog - Tips    (spr8mapb)

(1) Read Sprites on a Timeline

There are many ways to do this.

List of Recently Modified Contents

  • Webpage of Recently Modified Contents on a Website
    • Pages (URL is  PositLogRootURL/recentcontents.cgi?type=page)
    • Sprites (URL is PositLogRootURL/recentcontents.cgi?type=sprite)

This is the HTML version of RSS above.

  • RSS of Recently Modified Sprites on a Page
PositLog provides RSS feeds for every page. See the manual page of "RSS feeds".

e.g.) This is the RSS of the current page.
http://positlog.com/pagerss.cgi?load=071219aK

List of Recently Modified Tags

  • Webpage of Recently Modified Tags
http://positlog.com/tag.cgi?sortby=modified_time
Put tags on sprites to manage them.
The URL above shows the recently modified tags on a site. Tags can be filtered by a page group.
  • Webpage of Recent Sprites about a Tag
This is similar to entries filtered on the basis of their category on a blog.

e.g.) The URL below shows sprites about the "Permission Level" tag.
http://positlog.com/tag/Permission+Level
  • RSS of Recently Modified Tags
e.g.) This is RSS of the URL above.
http://positlog.com/tag.cgi?style=rss&tag=Permission+Level

Time and Space

  •  Overview map at the bottom-right corner
Move the mouse cursor on the overview map to hightlight recent sprites with red color. The newer a sprite, the more light-colored it is.
It is provided as a plug-in.
It is a plug-in that put the list of recent sprites into a sprite. This list is a sprite, and therefore you can place it anywhere on a page.

03/03/2008  02:53:06    PositLog - Administration : File structure: Upload all files together    (spr3iaaj)
PositLog does not suggest any method to upload all files together by the graphical user interface; however, you can upload files by FTP and easily gain access to them from Rich Editor.

Every page has its own upload directory.

- Image files

  $datapath/PageID/Image/

- Other files

 $datapath/PageID/File/

Use Resources Browser to import files to a sprite. The Resource Browser can be opened form the dialog, which is opened by clicking on the "Insert/Edit Image" or "Insert/Edit File" button on Rich Editor.
